COVID-19 Antibody Testing Appointment(s).

This test offers a way that a person may be able to know if they have had coronavirus in the recent past. Antibody tests, also known as serology tests, detect antibodies in the blood, which indicate that a person has had COVID-19 and mounted an immune response to the virus that causes it. Learn More

IgG antibody testing is generally for people who feel well, who do not have current symptoms, and who may have recovered from a COVID-19 infection.
  • To ensure the safety of our patients and staff, we may refuse to draw your blood if you have had new or worsening fever, cough, or shortness of breath within the last 2 weeks. If you are currently sick, please talk to your doctor about options for testing and care.
  • No physician referral is required. Parents/guardians may book an online appointment for children 10 years of age and older. Patients under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Testing under 10 years of age
  • An appointment (no walk-up testing available) and advanced payment of $89 are required and can be made online. National Jewish Health does not bill insurance for antibody testing appointments booked online WITHOUT a physician order. If you choose this option, your insurance will not be billed by National Jewish Health.
  • If you want your insurance billed, your physician will need to submit an order on your behalf, and you will be scheduled for an appointment. Please note that National Jewish Health does not determine insurance coverage. Contact your insurance provider to understand your antibody testing coverage and to confirm that National Jewish Health is an in-network hospital laboratory.
  • It is not necessary to arrive exactly at the start of your testing window; you may arrive any time during your one hour window.
  • Your blood will be drawn for this test. No fasting or dietary restrictions are required.
  • Testing is administered at our drive-through testing tent between 13th and 14th Avenue on Harrison Street in the National Jewish Health parking lot. Click here for driving directions on Google Maps. Please do not enter the main hospital for testing, unless you have a non-testing appointment.
  • Enter the lot and follow the signs to a waiting area. You will be checked in upon arrival and wait in your car for your turn. We will call you by phone when it is time to park and enter our temporary blood-draw facility, located near the testing tent.
  • Electronic test results are currently running 7-10 days. You need to activate your portal account through the email you received from National Jewish Health with the subject of Activate Your Patient Account Now. Results will also be sent to you by mail. Download details on receiving results for yourself and family members.
  • You will receive an email confirmation and an appointment reminder.
  • We ask that you wear a cloth mask for the testing appointment.
  • Please bring your appointment confirmation email, including the transaction details at the bottom, to your COVID-19 antibody test appointment.
